Full removals of dead, dying, hazardous or unwanted trees — including tight-access backyard takedowns.
Crown thinning, deadwooding, clearance pruning from roofs and wires — keeping mature trees healthy and safe.
Stumps ground 6–12 inches below grade so you can re-sod, garden or re-plant — most stumps done in under an hour.
24/7 response for storm-split trees, hangers over roofs, and blocked driveways across Guelph.
Cedar hedge trimming, overgrown shrub rejuvenation, and removals — the small-green work most tree companies skip.
Guelph's tree stock has taken a beating over the last decade — emerald ash borer killed off most of the city's ash trees, and ice storms keep testing the silver maples that dominate older neighbourhoods like St. George's Park and Exhibition Park. A lot of what we remove is exactly that: dead ash and storm-damaged maple.
Crews we work with carry full liability insurance and WSIB coverage, use proper rigging on tight residential lots, and chip and haul everything unless you want the wood left for firewood. If a tree is near hydro lines, we coordinate with Alectra before any cutting happens.
We serve: Guelph, Rockwood, Fergus, Elora, Puslinch, Aberfoyle, Eden Mills and surrounding Wellington County communities.
Small trees (under 30 ft) typically run $300–$700. Mid-size trees are $700–$1,500. Large or hazardous removals — big maples, dead ash near structures — run $1,500–$4,000+ depending on access and rigging required. Every quote is fixed-price after a free on-site look.
Often yes. Guelph's Tree By-law protects trees 10 cm in diameter or larger on many private properties, and there are additional rules in older neighbourhoods. We tell you during the assessment whether your tree needs a permit and help with the paperwork if it does.
Not directly — no private crew can. Alectra Utilities must clear or disconnect lines first. We coordinate that for you as part of the job.
Branches get chipped on site and hauled away. Trunk wood is either hauled or, if you prefer, bucked into firewood lengths and left stacked — your call, no price difference.
Actually the opposite — frozen ground protects your lawn, trees are dormant, and crews have more availability. Removal prices are often better November through March.
